Best and worst ferret cages
Over time, I have used a number of ferret cages. Some of them good, others not so much.
Here are advantages and disadvantages of different ferret cages in my opinion.

Pros:
Pros:
good size for up to 3 ferrets; safe; sturdy and durable; has large doors for easy access; has secure dual locks; has storage under cage; has wheels; can be expanded infinitely by adding an extra units; replacement parts are available; many accessories available
Cons:
gets rusty; must be used with covers for shelves and ramps; does not have a deep bottom, the mess from the cage will fall out on the floor; not easy to take apart once built; may get rusty;

Pros:
very flexible, can be configured in million different ways; good size for up to 3 ferrets; tunnels are easier and more fun to climb than ramps; deep base, keeps all the mess in; has wheels, doors latch firmly; can be expanded by adding more walls; comes with a litter box, tunnels, water bowl and food dish; nice design
Cons:
overpriced; shelves are hard to snap on to; unable to get the litter box it comes with out of doors;

Cons:
mid level must be covered - feet get caught between wires; slippery ramps need covers; flimsy design, metal bends; narrow shelves, rusts easily;

Why it is not recommended:
not safe, there has been cases of ferrets falling from the top shelf and breaking limbs; too small, unless used as a travel cage; door locks aren't secure, ferrets can open them; flimsy, not sturdy; ramps do not stay in place; small doors make it hard to clean, do not pass a litter box through; wire coating gets scratched easily;

dangerous! very flimsy, I personally know a person, whose ferret got stuck and died while trying to escape; too large spacing between shelves, ferrets get traumatized when they fall; small doors, don't a good size litter box through; not secure lock, ferrets can open it; slides aren't convenient, ferrets can't use them; rams are small and slippery.
